Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street is hoping to host 3 outdoor movie nights this summer. Located at City Hall Plaza, these events will activate an under-utilized area in our downtown. Each movie night will feature a classic movie loved by all ages. Attendees will be encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnics to enjoy the evening. The money raised through this campaign will help purchase the supplies to start this event. We need the community’s help to make movie nights possible!
If this first year is a success, we will continue to host these events in subsequent years, with the hope of eventually hosting them in the performing arts and market pavilion space.
Our movie nights are scheduled for the Fourth Thursday of July, August, and September - July 27, August 24, and September 28.

why we're doing it
Downtown Lee's Summit Main Street currently hosts hundreds of events each year downtown. But we often hear ideas for new events and have had many suggestions about outdoor movie nights. We're committed to making it happen, but need the communities help!
The space at City Hall Plaza is currently under-utilized. However, there are future plans for a potential market pavilion and performing arts space. We'd love to activate this space and host a much needed community event.
