About the project
More than 15 years ago, the first series of Phantom Galleries opened along Del Paso Boulevard, paving the way for local artist to make Del Paso Boulevard a thriving arts and entertainment district. We've lost our way through the years and it's time we look back and recommit ourselves to the arts and to giving local artist a chance to thrive in the neighborhood they live and work in.
The Steps
- Identify existing businesses that want to participate
- Identify vacant storefronts that can be used for pop-exhibits
- Work with local artist who live in the 95815 and provide the space and resources they need to show off their work.
- Work with small business owners and neighbors in Old North Sacramento to help market the return of our second Saturday Phantom Gallery series
- Enjoy some amazing art!
Why we‘re doing it
There are far too many closed businesses and vacant spaces along our retail and entertainment corridor. Taking over theses spaces will bring much needed foot traffic and energy to the Blvd and help re-establish Del Paso Boulevard as a thriving arts and entertainment district. We want to provide opportunities for artist who live in Old North Sacramento and surrounding neighborhoods to show their work and be proud of the city they live in
