the project
Our primary goal is to bring in the School & Youth Team from the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio to provide 12 diversity and inclusion centered workshops to CIS students. These programs empower youth with the skills and abilities to build communities where everyone is connected, respected and valued. Students who participate in these programs learn how to become leaders and change agents in their schools.
Our secondary goal is to continue our schoolwide family-educator discussion groups on equity and inclusion.
the steps
We plan to contract with the Diversity Center to provide 12 trainings during the 2019-20 school year, and hold three schoolwide family-educator discussions on equity and inclusion.
why we're doing it
We are driven by the desire to ensure that work toward equity and inclusion is a structural, embedded part of our school's daily practices and culture. We want all students to gain the full benefit of the excellent education available at Campus International School.
