The Goodlife Garden is an important place located in a community where it can be difficult to find affordable healthy meals. The garden educates and creates a place for community members to share knowledge around food, herbs, and culture. This project will go towards helping maintain the garden, and towards holding workshops and events that show off the farming that happens in the garden. Gardens like this grow more than food, they grow culture.

Food justice is an incredibly important topic particularly in neighborhoods where it can be difficult to obtain healthy food. Educating community members about healthy food practices goes beyond a garden and affects community health and wellness. Creating safe and inviting community spaces that are not sterile but welcoming and tailored to the people who live in a neighborhood is also important. Green spaces are also important to maintain as we see the effects of climate change disproportionately impact low income people.
