Why we‘re doing it
Importance of the project to the Community.
The small suburban community east of Cleveland has been inflicted with unemployment, poverty and crime under several administrations creating the need for reconciliation and healing.
Why
A people without a knowledge of their history, is like a tree without root (Marcus Garvey, 1930). For too long we have been sitting in the sea of discord and nullification, rendering us confused and in continuous crisis. Engaging the communities in cultural awareness can increase knowledge of purpose, identity, and future direction.
