About the project
To create a program to encourage youth and older adults to pursue artistic expression by providing a place to create and display their work. With art supplies becoming more expensive we want to provide our community with the use of basic art supplies that tend to be unattainable and or discouraged due to low or fixed income.
Young people could participate with their parents so that they are better encouraged at home if they choose to pursue art as a career path.
It would allow older adults the freedom to pursue art without having to choose between art supplies or basic needs. It will provide a creative space for seniors and youth to support each other, fostering a sense of community.
The Steps
Step 1: Determine the best way to attract seniors and young people who are interested in the program.
Step 2:.Purchase art materials and supplies
Step 3: Implement, the program!
Why we‘re doing it
There is an unmet need in the community for a space to create arts and culture. As a community member, I myself have felt compelled to create art both in my youth and as an adult. On a day to day basis, I encounter others who feel the same way but just need the means to do it. So we want to create a space where the community can come together, co-create and connect!
