We are going to be addressing excessive waste material from the cafeteria.
the steps
(1) performing a waste audit in the cafeteria to figure out what the scale of our system needs to be
(2) buying compost containers
(3) explaining the project and its aims to the student body and the faculty
(4) storing bulking materials for the winter
(5) aerating the bins regularly
(6) applying mature compost to garden
why we're doing it
Scraps will become compost (used to maintain the student garden).
budget
-at least five STC 33310 Green Ecomposter bins ($170 each on Amazon: $850 total)
-gloves, shovels, pitchforks, etc. for maintenance ($75)
-bulking materials ($75?)
