About the project

With your support, Detroit Hives will expand its Brightmoor Pollinator Habitat to create a community bee museum.  This is a multiphase project where we will transform an abadoned home next door to our garden site, into Detroit's first bee museum.  The bee museum will support and highlight local and world-renowed bee-themed artist.

Why we‘re doing it

We are on a mission to inspire a new generation of leaders in sustainability, and the best way is to lead by example. Transforming vacant lots into inclusive green spaces, revitalizes neighborhoods by eliminating blight and reducing crime. The Brightmoor Bee Museum  will serve as a unique community gathering space where local artist can shocase their bee theme artwork, host events, and share the importrance of pollinators.
