About the project

In honor of juneteenth, Community Leaders for The People has assembled a group of young artist from the neighborhood of East Cleveland to paint a Mural! The wall space is being donated by a local business in the City

The wall that the Mural will be created on is a 20ft x 60ft. The group will divide the wall up in sections and work in teams to create and express history through their own vision. There will be an event to celebrate the unveiling of the Mural as well the Juneteenth Holiday. The celebration will include local residents and community leaders as well as speakers and reflection on the history of our ancestors. There will also be food, fun and games for the people.

The Steps

Once we obtain the funds we will purchase the paint and supplies. Then we will secure the DJ and caterers and marketing materials.

Why we‘re doing it

We are doing this in honor of Juneteenth as well as giving our young adults in the community a chance to express their talents in celebration of their history.
