the project
Knowledge Quest is the product of a grassroots effort formed to meet community needs and we work hard to support and bring awareness to stabilize homes, provide access to health, and by making the clear path to opportunities for families. Ever since 1998, our team has been elevating to engage whole families within this community. We have developed a variety of program offerings to assist Memphians including our Extended Learning Academies, Green Leaf Learning Farm, Family Stability Initiative, and our Universal Parenting Place.
Our latest initiative is a partnership with Best Buy to open a Teen Tech Center that will help teens in this underserved community prepare for the tech-related jobs of our modern economy. This center will be a free, interactive learning space where teens can explore technology and learn how to use it. The critical skills learned in this center will bridge the digital divide by giving young people access to tech education and mentor guidance while building the confidence they will need to be successful in school and in their future careers.
That is why we are asking for your help! With your resources and as members of this community, it is our hope that together we could make an incredible difference!! Knowledge Quest, together with Best Buy, is committed to preparing teens from the disinvested community of South Memphis for jobs of the future. Our hope is that one day, every young person will have the technology, training and mentorship they need to succeed.

why we're doing it
We recognize that most jobs in the next decade will require the use of technology. Knowledge Quest's Best Buy Teen Tech Center will help teens prepare for these careers through hands-on experience with tech, such as digital media, robotics, virtual reality and 3D printing. With this partnership, we’re helping cultivate the next generation of inventors, engineers and entrepreneurs!
