The Aspen Hill Community Walk will take place on Sunday, October 1st at 4pm, starting at the Aspen Hill Library. The community walk will bring Aspen Hill neighbors together to exercise, enjoy fall-themed snacks, and engage in dialogue on how to make our neighborhood safer for pedestrians. The money raised will cover the cost of informational signage, water, and snacks for walk participants.
The Aspen Hill Community Walk is being held in conjunction with Walk Maryland Day 2017. This Walk Maryland Day event is co-sponsored by America Walks, Maryland Department of Aging, Maryland Department of Health, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Department of Transportation, and Maryland State Department of Education.
-Order and install informational signage about the community walk around Aspen Hill.
-Purchase and prepare water and snacks for the event.
Aspen Hill is a great neighborhood to live. We have lots of sidewalks, but some improvements are needed to make our neighborhood safer for pedestrians. The Aspen Hill Community walk will kick off community dialogue around issues of walkability.
