About the project
Art and Mental Health: Can Creating Art Relieve Stress? This project works directly with individuals using art to find their joy, peace and happy space. We'll assist individuals in tapping into their creative juices, in this multi-week art workshop, providing them an outlet to the stresses of life. The sessions will be specific to areas that stress our participants, while exploring art as a viable outlet. Locked down and becoming shut-in causes a negative impact on mental health, the anxiety of being sick and dying, depression, panic, suicidal tendency, delirium, Insomnia, PTSD, feeling anger, isolated, withdrawn, but creating art can help express those feelings.
