Allendale Acres is a community garden that offers the people who live within District 2 the opportunity, to come be apart of something special happening within the community. All while getting to grow their own fruits, vegetables and herbs.

Allendale Acres community garden was formed on the understanding that despite living in a "Food Desert" we recognized the opportunity available to us to promote health and wellness through gardening. Which is why we need your generous donations to help the plan come to life.

the steps

Allendale Acres has a 4 phase implementation plan we hope to execute over a 3 year period. For phase 1 this initial $2750 will fuel our ability to replace the damaged fence surrounding the garden, replace the old wooden beds, build a new retaining wall and buy the tools necessary to do so.

The limestone and railing kit are for finishing the retaining wall.  The fence costs close to $3,500, but we will devote the remaining $1,283.11 IOBY raised funds into it.
