Why Adventure STEAM?
The mission of Adventure STEAM is to integrate, engage and deepen the impact of STEAM-focused early education, outreach and collaboration between underserved children, their parents, teachers, and education-based organizations and creative thought leaders.
The Vision
Adventure STEAM is a unique educational initiative merging creativity and design with early childhood learning focused on the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Imagine fun, engaging, interactive activities and printed coloring books that transport your child into outer space, guides them as they explore on safari or takes them on a journey under the sea – all led through an online educational gaming platform for both web and mobile devices. Adventure STEAM – is Learning ReDesigned!

Adventure STEAM is an education-based initiative merging art and creativity with early childhood learning. We offer engagement opportunities and collaborations with thought leaders and other organizations to help enrich and expand the lives of underserved children, parents, and educators through:
- creating fun-filled do-at-home activities,
- designing unique STEAM-focused coloring books,
- digital games and products,
- and interactive events based on science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Best of all, these resources will be free to all childcare centers, public and charter schools in the underserved communities throughout the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas!
why we're doing it
Today's world is becoming increasingly more complex, where success is driven not only by what you know but by what you can do with what you know. This fact is more important than ever for our children, starting at an early age to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to solve problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sense of information while having fun. These are the types of skills that they learn by studying science, technology, engineering, art, and math—subjects collectively known as STEAM.
Yet today, only a few American children study or pursue expertise in STEAM fields—and we have an inadequate pipeline of teachers and educators skilled in those subjects.
So, through a shared passion of always wanting to learn something cool or new and just wondering how things work – the idea behind Adventure STEAM was born. We believe that providing free resources to children in our underserved communities is the best solution to combat illiteracy, nurture their creativity, encourage mental growth and overall help close the achievement gap in education. All while giving them the ability to not just study in school, but to continue their education at home and on the go!

For layout, design, marketing and printing the Adventure STEAM educational coloring books. This funding is for Stage 1 of our vision, to print the first batch of educational materials, and distributing them to child care centers and schools, I have relationships with to launch our pilot program.
