In our series "By Adding Dad", we know what research says about Dad not being there. Now, we'll become actionable about how to welcome Dad back home, while providing specific services to support his arrival, and documenting it through his words. The documentation will take place in several mediums: Vlogs, Writings, and other expressions. Through this advocacy, Dad's will receive direct services which could lead to them feeling better about self, earning a livable wage and lastly, gaining the confidence to share his experience out loud.

"By Adding Dad" will host a panel discussion on June 5, 2021 of 6 fathers/men. We will then leverage that dialogue to create content such as Father Absence, vs Father Presence. This content will be shared via Zoom, and carried on future podcasts, for replay. The hope is that our target audience of non-custodial father's and restored Dad's join us for our book club discussions related to and focused on fatherhood.

why we're doing it

For too long, families have been out of balance. Alot of it can be traced to Dad not being around. One of the reasons for Dad not being there, is his lack of self-worth. By being intentional about "Adding Dad", you celebrate his being. With this project, we are building a non-judgement zone, creating a vibe and content where men can engage as they see fit. Appreciating his presence, and supporting him in his endeavor of being his best self. Brokenness in some communities, finally have a chance of subsiding, all "BY ADDING DAD! On June 5th, we have a six-man panel discuss scheduled, that includes some of our region foremost male engagement experts, discussing the relationship of father presence vs father absence, and it's effect on the family. During the entire month of June, we'll be focused on activities centered around "By Adding Dad", with next steps being a continuum of practices carried by fatherhood pracrtitioners, a well as males in general.
