About the project
Launch the ABISA PHONE APP and Website.
The App will help us provide quick access to lawyers, workshops, informational meetings, and other relevant community events while also creating a secure, accessible and reliable platform tool that will bridge the information access gap for immigrants. The application will optimize resources and services access. It will allow immigrants to have direct access to community organizations, business opportunities, legal aid and representation.
Notifications about education fairs, health fairs, immigration forums, grant applications, city council meetings, ESL classes & providers and citizenship classes & providers will be provided through the app and website to ensure mobile access to immigrants in various communities access to resources and existing services.

Why we‘re doing it
Black/African Immigrant communities have poor access to resources and information that are beneficial and necessary.
The APP will bridge that gap, it will increase accessibility to information for immigrants in our communities.
The App will ensure that our constituents have the right information at critical times; they will now know where to go to ask for help.
Notifications will provide them with up to date info and motivate them to be more involved in city activities.
ABISA Mobile will ensure they have reliable contact information; they are current on new immigration laws in real time; they are up to date on education matters such as applications deadlines, health and social services matters, business et economic development matters and opportunities, as well as civic engagement and citizenship matters.
