COVID 19: Caring for your community
Our ioby community is full of helpers. Neighborhood leaders, unofficial mayors of the block, people like you who have always stepped up to do what’s right and to lend a hand. We’re here to support your urgent responses to the impacts of COVID-19 in Cleveland. There are two things you can do on ioby right now to support your community: You can start a project on ioby, or check out a list of resources in Cleveland we compiled to help you plan a project.
Start a project in Cleveland
On ioby, anyone with a great idea for creating positive change in their neighborhood can raise funds, find volunteers and promote their project. When you fundraise for your community project on ioby, you can:
-
Receive one-on-one fundraising and implementation coaching
-
Collect tax-deductible donations
-
Have ioby act as your project’s fiscal sponsor
-
Find new volunteers
-
Join us for grassroots fundraising trainings and workshops
Submit your idea and ioby will reach out to support you on your journey to making positive change in your Cleveland neighborhood.
About ioby Cleveland
We’ve got to admit: Cleveland is pretty amazing. When neighbors across the city set out to get good done in the neighborhood, Clevelanders are there to lend a hand. Since we began our on-the-ground work, ioby Cleveland has supported over 460 resident leaders as they plan, crowdfund, and build positive change in neighborhoods across the city. With a median donation of $50, these leaders have raised over $1,447,359 in small donations to make Cleveland neighborhoods greener, safer, more livable, and more full of opportunity for all residents.
Meet Pete Saudek, ioby's Cleveland Action Strategist
As the Cleveland Action Strategist, Pete Saudek partners with neighbors across Northeast Ohio to create positive and sustainable change throughout the region. When you share your idea for positive change in your neighborhood, Pete will walk alongside you as you build your crowdfunding campaign, and connect you to the tools and resources intended to transform your community.
Pete has been rooted in Northeast Ohio for the past 10 years as a community organizer, housing justice advocate and musician, working with neighbors to generate community-based projects and campaigns across the city.
