    Detroiters need some natural healing from the good Earth, so I'm transforming a vacant intercity lot into Habitat retreat, an outdoor classroom, for pollinators and people to cohabitant in the habitat.

EMGC Eligibility (all grantees meet one of the following criteria):

  1. Businesses that sell in the Sheds at Eastern Market. Business must be current in rent and other obligations and must have completed one complete season at Eastern Market.
  2. Eastern Market District Businesses (bricks and mortar retail, wholesale or production facilities). Business must own or lease a facility in the district bound by Canfield Street, Service Street, I-75, and Chene Street.
  3. Detroit Community Markets. Business must have completed one complete season at a neighborhood market.
  4. Detroit Kitchen Connect Participants. Business must be current in rent and other obligations.
  5. Urban Market Growers. Detroit-based urban garden or farm that sold at Eastern Market independently or with GID or another market in Detroit Community Markets Network in the last 3 years.

 

Match details: 

Donations will be matched until projects have accessed the specific amount of match funding that was awarded to them. If a project is still fundraising after meeting its original fundraising, donations are still appreciated, but are no longer being matched.
