Mary Manning is an experienced researcher and educator focused on using art, culture, and history to forge community connections and enhance understandings of the world.  She has a B.A. in Art History and French, with a minor in Women’s Studies, from Case Western Reserve University and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History from Rutgers University.  Along the way to earning her degrees, she gained experience in college-level teaching, organizational leadership, and writing, editing, and publishing texts from blog posts to academic articles.

Mary currently lives in the Cleveland area and serves as an AmeriCorps Member.  She provides resources to local organizations working on history-based projects to document and use their histories and, in doing so, to serve more people in their communities.  She is also a member of YNPN (Young Nonprofit Professionals Network) Cleveland’s Board of Directors, where she ensures that their marketing and communications efforts uphold their mission.
