Naomi Doerner is a dedicated urban planning professional with a passion and talent for engaging communities and growing coalitions. She specializes in sustainable and active transportation planning and advocacy, building support for walking, bicycling, and transit use. She has demonstrated leadership experience blending urban planning, advocacy, and innovative engagement strategies and successfully translates these into positive social change, a proud hallmark of her career. Naomi applies her experience at the Alliance for Biking & Walking as the Advocacy and Membership Manager, and in 2016, began an independent equity and justice-centered planning, research and engagement strategies practice.

She holds a Master of Urban Planning from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in New York, NY and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA. Ms. Doerner is the co-founder of Velo City, a nonprofit urban planning education initiative that introduces young people to urban planning and design via bicycling. Naomi resides in New Orleans, LA.
