David Weinberger, Director of City Partnerships

David leads ioby’s Phase 0 research in cities and regions around the country, helping us understand how ioby can best serve residents. He also connects ioby’s platform and services to local governments across the country in order to broaden and deepen their community engagement efforts. Prior to joining ioby, David worked with the NYC Department of Transportation to plan and launch WalkNYC, the city’s first-ever standardized pedestrian wayfinding system. David holds a M.S. in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute, and a B.A. in Political Science and Public Policy from CUNY Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College.

When David isn’t finding new ways to break down barriers to civic participation, he can be found walking aimlessly through new cities with his husband and their adventure-loving twins.
