Dana J. Schneider, Community and Growth Manager

Dana works to expand ioby’s community of supporters through individual giving and events who, in turn, help boost neighborhood leaders make positive civic change across the country. She also plans our webinar program, which provides neighbors with a unique opportunity to learn from one another and build new relationships. She is grounded by a commitment to bringing her full self everywhere she goes, and the belief that there is power in bringing people together to transform the world.

Prior to joining ioby, Dana had her own event planning and fundraising consultancy, collaborating with small and mid-sized social justice groups on resource and program development. Dana has also had held a range of programming and fundraising leadership positions at the Foundation for Jewish Culture, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, and Jewish Voice for Peace. She studied feminist and race theory at Wesleyan University and non-profit management and policy at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. Dana loves building community, visiting the ocean, and learning to garden with her wife, Kathleen and their chihuahua mix, Kaylee.
