On ioby, anyone with a great idea for creating positive change in their neighborhood can raise funds, find volunteers and promote their project. When you fundraise for your community project on ioby, you can:

  • Receive one-on-one fundraising and implementation coaching

  • Collect tax-deductible donations

  • Have ioby act as your project’s fiscal sponsor

  • Find new volunteers

  • Join us for grassroots fundraising trainings and workshops

Submit your idea and ioby will reach out to support you on your journey to making positive change in your Pittsburgh neighborhood

You'll have direct access to a dedicated fundraising coach who will be there with you every step of the way while you fundraise. Once you've shared your great idea with us, ioby's Leader Success Team will help you create your crowdfunding page, strategize a plan for crowdfunding success, and help you out anytime you get stuck. Pittsburgh is pretty special. From 446 bridges to 90 neighborhoods, there’s a lot to love about the mighty Steel City. But most of all: Pittsburghers don’t wait around to get good done. Since we began our on-the-ground work in Pittsburgh, ioby has collaborated with over 288 resident leaders as they plan, crowdfund, and build positive change in neighborhoods all across the city and region. With a median donation of $50, Pittsburghers working with ioby have raised over $1,124,358 in small donations to make our neighborhoods thriving and full of opportunity for all.

    Bethany House - Building for a better 2021

    Join Bethany House in bulding toward a better 2021. After a year defined by what we couldn't do, help support what BHA will do in 2021. New program, new envrionment and new leadership to serve Northview Heights.

  • Self Care for Women in the Age of Covid-19

    COVID-19 has hit communities of color exponentially harder. We will provide self-care practices for women of color and our female community partners.

    Donate to help to provide food, winter shelters, and veterinary care for the Pittsburgh Prison Cats - a colony of community cats living at the abandoned Western State Penitentiary.

    PRWA Goes Back to School With Full Bellies!

    This fund will provide often requested, healthy, kid friendly meals and snacks to households in our network with school aged children, as families face returning to school during a pandemic.

    Allendale Acres Community Garden needs a shed! We also need a wheelbarrow, materials for a stone path, additional raised beds, a weed wacker, rainbarrel parts, and materials for a fence.

    A community space where one can find serenity, take a walk on the trails, learn about growing vegetation, healthy living, and mindfulness.

Recorded Webinar: Northside Resident Leadership

Pittsburghers don’t wait around to get good done. Since we began our on-the-ground work in Pittsburgh, ioby.org has collaborated with over 200 resident-leaders as they plan, crowdfund, and build positive change in neighborhoods all across the city and region. Pittsburghers working with ioby have raised over $800,000 in small donations to make our neighborhoods thriving and full of opportunity for all.

In this webinar, we celebrate the many projects that got good done with the One Northside Crowdfunding Challenge, and explore in a facilitated panel discussion that explores some of those projects.
