the project

The Miami Youth Garden is a youth development program using a community garden as a live classroom.  The proven "Seed-to-Harvest" curriculum is designed to nurture the growth of principled youth and prepare them to seek and find their purpose and calling through creative exposure to employability skills training and leadership principles.

the steps

  1. Request formal quotes for installing irrigation system and wrought-iron fencing
  2. Identify garden tools needed for expanded programming
  3. Oversee and monitor installation of irrigation system and fencing
  4. Expand crops and planting beds while increasing recruitment of participants.

why we're doing it

Our project promotes a sense of community ownership among teens, young adults, and the elderly.  It is designed to nurture the growth of principled youth who will make positive contributions to their families, schools, and communities.
